Why is my computer running slow?

To find out what is causing Captira to run slowly, we first need to determine if it is an issue with Windows or with Google Chrome (browser).

1. Click the windows start button and search for Task Manager and open it. 

2. Click More Details on the bottom left of the window if it is not already displaying all data.

3. If CPU or any other item are over 90% that means it is not a Captira issue. 

4. Click the heading of the item with high usage and identify the program using high resources.

Windows

There are many things that could be causing Windows to run slow. Here are just a few things you should check.

1. If your Disk Usage is over 90% click here.

2. If your CPU Usage is over 90% click here.

3. If you Memory is over 90% click here.

4. Is your computer old or out dated? It may be time for an upgrade.

Chrome

1. Too many tabs open. Close any tabs that you do not need.

2. Clear you cache. See how here.

3.Close your browser and re-open it.

4. Too many chrome extensions. See how to uninstall extensions here.

Troubleshooting

If the above are not working try there two steps

1. Log out of Captira, close and restart your browser.

2. Fully restart your computer.
